BP PLANNED TO WRITE A COUPLE CHECKS TO CLEAN THIS UP AND GO ON WITH BUSINESS AS USUAL - THE WEEK OF THIS DISASTER THE WALL STREET JOURNAL REPORTED OIL COMPANIES WERE MAKING RECORD PROFITS - THE WORST THING... THE PUBLIC VIEWED THIS AS AN OFFSHORE PROBLEM AND FAILED TO RESPOND UNTIL MILLIONS OF ANIMALS ARE SEEN DEAD AND DYING

When you hear people talk about electric cars you hear lots of comments about how much more they cost than gas cars. This is because most people don't think ahead. And, they sure don't add up the weekly price they spend on gas. If you consider the cost of driving a gas burning car over 10 years electric cars pay for themselves.

BUT, WHAT PRICE DO WE PUT ON THE DESTRUCTION OF THE EARTH???

What price do we put on the number of people who die from cancers caused by pollution?. What price on the millions of animals who are dying as we speak? How long can we deny the results of global warming? What price do we put on the families losing their homes, jobs and companies failing because of the economic disasters caused by oil?

If you truly are only considering the purchase of an electric car based on price, you just don't don't get it. This website is a heck of a lot more than just about cars. For the past 16 years we've been warning the public, arguing with politicians and trying to convince CEO's of auto companies to step away from their spreadsheets and see ahead... We received virtually no assistance from automakers, the government and to be honest of the millions of people who've come to this website the response is still just paltry.

And, here it is again... the ugly truth about this disgusting oil addiction the civilized world has created.

UPDATE: Revised estimates of actual damage state 800,000 gallons of crude had been spewing from the damaged shaft every day (Not, the BP estimate of 15,000) - THE GRAND TOTAL IS ABOUT 200 MILLION GALLONS!!! For months all efforts to plug the well (found to have been built with inferior lower cost safeguards) had failed.

OUTCOME: Millions of animals suffered and died - The public, generally was still not pissed off much. Afterall, most of this mess never reached the shore... And gas prices were low. So people said "Drill Drill Dill". President Barack Obama then announced he made plug-in vehicles a top priority. He called for 1 million plug-ins on the roads by 2015 - 12 Months later Obama was politically ousted from power as the Republicans used the terrible economy (which was mostly caused by high fuel prices prior to his election) as a bitching post to manipulate the publics view. They said "Forcing people to go green is unconstitutional and destroying the American way of life"... We guess destroying the environment was not their concern.

 

WE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK GEORGE "OIL TYCOON" BUSH - WHO SIGNED THE FINAL DEATH PENALTY ON THE 1990 CLEAN AIR "ELECTRIC CAR" MANDATE IN 2003 (See the movie "Who Killed the Electric Car" - HOPE HE'S ENJOYING HIS 1,600 ACRE RANCH IN TEXAS - AND ARNOLD "SHWARZENHUMMER" AND HIS "HYDROGEN HIGHWAY" HE MESSED UP TOO! - AMERICAN AUTO WORKERS YOU WILL BE UNEMPLOYED IF YOU FAIL TO INFLUENCE YOUR SUPERIORS TO GO ELECTRIC and to the few electric car makers who are only in this "just for profit" your cars will always score an "F" in our ratings
